A Busy but Fulfilling Friday
Today has been a really busy day. I had hoped to finish work early since I promised my friends we’d make mooncakes together. However, I ended up working overtime and was late. As soon as I arrived at my friend’s place, we got started right away. I took charge of the fillings, while my friends worked on the dough. It was our first time making mooncakes, and to my surprise, it was quite easy with everyone working together. The best part? When we finally tasted the results—it was so delicious, and the feeling of accomplishment made it even better.
I’m so grateful to have friends to cook with. It’s such a unique and rewarding connection. We rarely eat out together; instead, our gatherings revolve around cooking and eating at someone’s home. It’s always so much fun! We constantly come up with new recipes to try. Someone usually shares a recipe in our group chat, and that’s when I jump in with, “Let’s cook this together next time you’re free.” We end up meeting about three times a week at the most..
Thanks to my friends, I’ve tried so many different types of food—most of which are firsts for us all. But we’ve never really failed at anything, and it’s not just because the recipes are easy to follow. I think it’s because when I’m with them, I feel like we can accomplish anything. We’re a great team, and we understand each other on a deep, unspoken level.
Lately, I've been writing almost every day. What started as reflections on my podcast has evolved into something more like a personal diary, but the core idea remains the same—self-reflection and growth. Whether it's reflecting on a podcast, a book, a conversation with someone, or even a daily activity, each entry contributes to my personal development.
I’m happy with this habit of documenting my thoughts and experiences. Writing helps me to think deeply and reflect on moments that might otherwise pass by unnoticed. It’s become a meaningful way to revisit memories and gain new insights.
