PERSONAL REFLECTION

I received the formal notification of my leaving time from the company—yes, an official notice of unemployment. I knew this would happen, but I was still shocked at how a company can be so harsh. Although I felt sad and a bit taken aback when I saw the letter, I didn’t dwell on it for long. Instead, I began socialising again, a refreshing change after feeling stuck at home for so long.
Since joining the podcast hosts community, I've discovered new ways to approach my podcasting. Yesterday, I recorded an episode with a friend about being laid off and quickly finding another job. This time, we were both relaxed, and I think it may be our best one yet. In fact, I gained 30 subscribers within just three days of joining the community.
Networking has also led to meeting inspiring people. Today, I met a girl who has been running her own business since university. We’re of a similar age and share a lot of ideas, but she has a great ability to bring things together—a quality I admire. We talked about collaborating, and I look forward to working with her.
Although I’m feeling a bit under the weather with a sore throat today, I’m optimistic. As I said in the title, life is in another place. These setbacks won’t hold me back; they may just give me a fresh start for new opportunities.
