Summary:

Why is this island so popular? I really don’t get it.I had a pretty bad impression of the place. Sure, it’s close to Barcelona, but that just seems to make everything overpriced. Compared to other Spanish islands I’ve visited, this one felt crowded, expensive, and stressful—especially for driving.

As the group’s driver, I found it exhausting navigating every day. The towns are tiny, parking is a nightmare, and most roads are so narrow only one car can pass at a time. To make things worse, motorbikes parked haphazardly along the edges made maneuvering even harder. The roundabouts were another headache—they’re nothing like the UK’s, with weird dividers that just added confusion.

Yes, the sea, sunshine, and nature are nice… but honestly, it’s not that different from what you’d find in a scenic village back in the UK. For the hype and hassle, I expected a lot more.
