I missed posting this update on time, but let’s pretend it’s still Thursday, just midnight in Europe! I just launched the third episode of my podcast—a conversation with a friend about the recent wave of layoffs. She was let go and successfully found a new job, while I’m currently facing a similar situation. This episode felt the most relaxed so far; I didn’t even prepare a script. We simply had a friendly conversation that flowed naturally and lasted almost an hour.

This episode also marks the one-month milestone for my channel. I had moments of frustration when I couldn’t find guests to interview, but then I joined a podcast host community. Their encouragement and ideas inspired me to keep going. For this third episode, I decided not to interview an entrepreneur, knowing that finding willing guests may take time, but I’m committed to learning and improving.

I didn’t initially tell my parents about losing my job because I didn’t want them to worry. However, after my post and the podcast, they found out. My mom felt it was embarrassing to share this on social media, fearing that too many people would know. But I don’t see it as a secret—I want to show others that it’s okay to fight for your rights even after being laid off. It’s a common experience, and I believe everyone has a place in society.

The most important thing is that I’ve passed the one-month trial period I set for myself with this podcast. I’m proud of the progress I’ve made and the connections I’ve built. Losing my job pushed me to meet new people, and though I still need time to figure out my next steps, I know I’m moving toward the life I deserve.
